ITV Studios Global Entertainment in partnership with New Zealand’s Pukeko Pictures unveils digital developments for Thunderbirds Are Go

Partnership with BeyondTheStory will see launch of new Thunderbirds Are Go interactive reading app in October 2015

LONDON, UK – FEBRUARY 17, 2015 – ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) continues to accelerate its licensing drive for the highly anticipated boys’ action adventure series Thunderbirds Are Go, with news today of digital developments ahead of the show’s broadcast debut this Autumn.

In partnership with New Zealand’s Pukeko Pictures, the co-producers of Thunderbirds Are Go, ITVS GE has teamed up with innovative digital company BeyondTheStory – a leading provider of rich, interactive storytelling apps, 3D books and eBooks - to produce exciting new digital content that will support the upcoming Thunderbirds Are Go TV series.

This engaging app will give fans of all ages the opportunity to extend their viewing experience of the Thunderbirds Are Go TV series while also encouraging younger players to learn and read in an entertaining way. By gamifying the reading experience, BeyondTheStory’s innovative technology enables new ways of learning and interaction for children to enjoy both individually and together with the family.

Pukeko Pictures Invests In Storytelling With BeyondTheStory

New Zealand’s Pukeko Pictures has today announced investment in the New Zealand and London-based digital company, BeyondTheStory. The first initiative between the two companies will be a collection of The WotWots educational eBooks to accompany the much-loved preschool television series and promote learning through the fun of creative play and storytelling. Co-Owner of Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop, Sir Richard Taylor said: “BeyondTheStory has developed a highly imaginative way to work with our assets to create episode-by-episode quests and expand feature storylines. Global rollout begins for storybook app - The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

Today in a first for the Dutch market, Anne Frank’s personal story The Diary of a Young Girl is released as an enhanced storybook app. In a pioneer project Dutch publisher Prometheus which already has the rights to the print and eBook versions of Anne Frank’s Dairy, launches the storybook app on iPad at Theatre Amsterdam at the beginning of the play “Anne”, currently running at the Theatre. UK digital company BeyondTheStory first created the English version of the storybook app to acclaim in 2013 in the UK, and the Dutch and Belgian release today marks the beginning of the global rollout of the digital version of one of the most famous books of all time.
