In partnership with New Zealand’s Pukeko Pictures, the co-producers of Thunderbirds Are Go, ITVS GE has teamed up with innovative digital company BeyondTheStory to produce exciting new digital content that will support the upcoming Thunderbirds Are Go TV series.

New Zealand’s Pukeko Pictures has invested in a local digital firm that specialises in creating storybook apps. BeyondTheStory will work with Pukeko on a collection of eBooks based on the latter’s preschool series The WotWots. Sir Richard Taylor, co-owner of Pukeko Pictures and special effects firm Weta Workshop, said: “BeyondTheStory has developed a highly imaginative way to work with our assets to create episode-by-episode quests and expand feature story lines.”

In a first for the Dutch market the enhanced storybook app is launched today by Dutch publisher Prometheus, at the beginning of the play “Anne”, currently running at the Theatre Amsterdam. UK digital company BeyondTheStory first created the English version of the storybook app to acclaim in 2013 in the UK, and the Dutch and Belgian release today marks the beginning of the global rollout of the digital version of one of the most famous books of all time.
